In Memory Of

Viola Fluss

Visitation: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Terry.

Interment: 2:00 p.m. at the Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.

Viola (Cashatt) Fluss passed on October 20, 2006 from congestive heart failure and cancer.

Vi was born February 4, 1920 to Charles and Katherine Sindelar on their farm near Allen, MT. She graduated from Cohagen High School in 1937. Edward Cashatt andVi were married May 17, 1939. They were blessed with three daughtersGail Laree, Linda Jean, and Cathy Ann. During their early years of marriage Ed was employed in various states. They returned to Montana in 1945 and resided in Miles City where Ed was employed with the Milwaukee Railroad. In 1960 the family moved to Terry with Eds employment with Fish and Wildlife. Ed passed away on January 14, 1967.Vi worked briefly at the Prairie County Hospital and the Post Office before going to work at the courthouse as Deputy Clerk and Recorder and Deputy Clerk of Court from 1969 until 1983, when she retired.

Jay Fluss and Vi were married December 10, 1981. Jay and Vi enjoyed their time together until Jays passing in July of 1988.

Viola is survived by her daughters, Gail and Vic Lewis of Deer Lodge, Linda and RaymondStrasheim of Terry, and Cathy and SteveJamruszka of Havre and four grandchildren: Paul Milner, Seattle; Christy Keto (Norton Pease), Havre; Kerri Strasheim, Belgrade and LynnStrasheim, Missoula and two great grandsons,Kaden and JolenKeto of Havre. Other survivors include two sisters, Cary Zook and Tudi Jone's, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Vi loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Her appreciation of nature was passed down to her family. Vi also loved all Terry sports and tried to never miss her grandchildrens events. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. Vi will be remembered for her quick wit, ready smile and wonderful baking.
