Virginia Ann Hartse, age 77, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Holy Rosary Health Center.
Virginia was born in Wibaux, Montana on April 7, 1939, the daughter of Stanley and Genevieve (Kryzsko) Drennen. She lived in Wibaux for a couple years before moving to Miles City where she attended schools, graduating from Sacred Heart High School in 1957. In 1984, they moved back to Miles City where Virginia ran a fish shop and was a housekeeper for the Sacred Heart Priests. James passed away in 1993.
Virginia was an active member of the Sacred Heart Churchy and was devoted to the church until her passing. She was a volunteered for RSVP and two years in a row volunteered over 1000 hours. Hartse family,
I was sorry to hear of Virgina’s passing. May the Good Lord hold each of you closer than ever before. She was always smiling and very sweet to everyone she met. Everyone called her GrandMa. She worked hard helping everyone she could. She watched a house full of children for family. Not sure how she could with always a smile but she did. Her banana bread was the best. Many summertime memories; she treated my boys like family and she will greatly be missed.

I may not have got to spend as much time as I would have like with my Aunt Virginia, but it didn’t take much time to understand what an amazing woman she was. She was so dedicated to her family. I really admired how she was always trying to help other. The world could use more people like you Aunt Virginia.

So sorry to learn of Virginia’s death. We were classmates for four years at Sacred Heart High School, and it was always a joy to see her in later years when I passed through Miles City. Couldn’t imagine a friendlier greeting. May her soul and all of our dear departed friends rest in peace. Roberta Jurica Carlson
