Virginia Lee Grogan, age 91, of Miles City passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Virginia was born on November 14, 1916 in Slayton, Minnesota the daughter of Gus and Ella (Bornholdt) Lee. She attended school thru the 7th grade in Slayton, Minnesota. She then moved with her family to Miles City where she attended Washington Middle School for her 8th grade year and graduated from Custer County High School in 1934. Virginia loved sports and was a beautiful ice skater, roller skater and a cheerleader at CCHS. She also loved music. Virginia married William Grogan in 1937. She worked as a Liberian at the VA Hospital for 18 years, a secretary at the Eagles Manor, NZ Shoes, Olive Motor Inn and 4-Bs.
Virginia loved her dogs and spent many hours walking many miles with them.
Virginia is survived by two children: Sandra L. Grogan of Miles City, MT and Daniel W. Grogan of Miles City, MT; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two special friends; Gail Wilkerson & Kenneth (Skee) Feely and Queenie her dog..
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and children: William T. Grogan and Karen Grogan; two brothers Don & Wayne Lee and her dogsRommel, Satan, Rebel, Khan & Kudo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Should friends desire a memorial has been established for the Animal Clinic Shelter or to the Holy Rosary Hospice. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
