Vivian Marie Fitterer, age 84, passed away May 5, 2009 at Grand Park Village Suites in Billings, MT.
Vivian was born April 27, 1925, an identical twin, to Otto and Eleanor Burggraf in Mahnomen, MN. She graduated from St. Alexius in Bismarck ND with a nursing degree in 1946. She and William Fitterer were united in marriage on June 30, 1947 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Mandan ND. They moved to Forsyth, MT where they made their home for over 50 years. Vivian worked briefly in the nursing field but was mainly a devoted mother and homemaker for 50 plus years.
The family spent many summers at White Earth Lake where they owned lake front property. Vivian loved to cook, play cards, crochet, take walks, garden at White Earth Lake and going out on the pontoon boat at the lake.
In addition to her parents Vivian was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Sandy Fitterer.
She is survived by her husband Bill as well as her five children; Kathy (Lynn) Clendenen, Cassie (Harry) Manolopoulos, David (Marsha) Fitterer, Rick and Lynn; grandchildren Christopher, Joanna (Graeme), Melodie, Charissa, Tessa, Travis (Maria), Shelly, J Dee, Cody, Casey, Colin (Miranda) and Lynde; great-grandchildren Natalia, Marina, Mac, Macy, Sofia, Carson and Richard.Vivian is also survived by her twin sister Virginia and sisters Dolores, Mary Ann, JoAnn and Becky, brothers Herman and Robert and her friend Shirley Beckman
