Wanda Jean Peaslee, age 77, passed away surrounded by family in her home on Monday, July 3, 2017.
Wanda was born to Floyd and Grace South in Auburn, Nebraska on September 22, 1939. She was one of nine children, and the oldest daughter.
At the age of 18, she married Arthur Edwin Peaslee, from Miles City, MT on February 8, 1958. They were married for over 59 years. They had five children: Deon Peaslee, Art (Sandy) Peaslee, Jack (Val) Peaslee, Denise (Adam) Olson, Ray (Darla) Peaslee all of Miles City. She had 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Wanda loved her children and grandchildren and her family gatherings were her most precious times. She was a member and very involved with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, holding and participating in numerous positions in the church. She was a pianist for the church since her children were quite small. Wanda read and studied her Bible daily.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Grace South, brothers Chuck South and Bob South, grandson Jeromey Blake Roberts, and great granddaughter Kyla Jean Rickey.
A special thanks to family members, friends, and hospice for all they have done. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

We were privileged to enjoy Wanda for all the years we were at Mt. Ellis Academy and we share her hope to see her again in the earth made new.
Esther (Rorabeck) Cummings says
I have happy memories of Wanda when we were both students at Mt. Ellis Academy. We and Shirley Tosten would sometimes walk around campus visiting and singing. Wanda and I were also on the “dish crew” together at a time when all dishes were washed and dried by hand. Wanda also facilitated some of my boyfriend relationships. I think Wanda was probably one of the “bakingest” ladies ever. I know she loved sharing time with grandchildren and other family members. happy memories! And I expect to see her again. We’ll probably walk the golden streets and sing some of the old songs.
