Wayde passed away at home on September 15, 2019. He was 59 years old. Wayde Steven Carlson was born April 7, 1960 at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. He was the son of Arnold (Carl) Carlson and Bernice Freimark Carlson.
He grew up and attended school in Miles City. He then worked at KATL radio as a radio personality. This was where he soared. Being on the radio brought out the best in Wayde and many people remember his show from the 1980’s. Wayde loved music, collecting it and sharing it with everyone. He was also a radio personality for New 95 in Billings and was the president of the Billings Ham Radio Club with his call sign N7KVW.
He then moved on as security while living in Phoenix and then again in Billings. Wayde then moved to Miles City in August of 2017 to be closer to his daughter, Jennifer.
He was also an avid collector of WWII memorabilia and had a vast collection of, let’s say, many rare items. Wayde spent many nights listening to his scanner and watching television with his beloved dog Rascal. He was also a great fan of the WWE and loved spending his Monday nights watching his favorite wrestlers and ME TV every night.
He is survived by his daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Richard Cox, his grandchildren, Calvin, Marcus, Evan, Claudia and Vanessa, his sister Kay Carlson (Bob Bergerson), brother Mike Carlson, nieces Jodi, Keely, and Jenny, nephews Jason and Josh and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Arnold Carlson and mother Bernice Carlson and his Aunt Irene Dutton.

Gene Fougner and Stuart Mattson says
Whenever I would go over to Kay Carlson’s home to visit her, I’d see Wayde…the little brother. After graduation, I never saw him anymore. So it was nice to read about his interests and accomplishments and to see the family photos. Our sympathies for your loss.
