“Screaming Hawk”
Wayland Jr. was born to Contessa Shoulderblade and Wayland Limpy Sr. at Crow Hospital December 28th, 2005 and Maheo called him home July 23rd, 2025.
Wayland Jr. was a very outgoing person he had many ideas, tried to follow his dreams and could get side tracked easily. He enjoyed going to People’s Park to shoot hoops with his siblings. Enjoyed spending time with his grandma mom Jeanie. As well as playing Xbox with his little brothers Drayland and Trayland, they enjoyed throwing the football around with one another. He was his sister Kayland’s protector, always making sure nobody was messing with her. He definitely made sure his siblings were well taken care of.
Wayland Jr. attended K-2nd grade at Lame Deer Elementary, spent 3rd grade in Helena. The summer before his 4th grade year he moved to Colstrip to live with his Auntie Jessie and Auntie Tanessa. He attended 4th-8th grade at Colstrip Public Schools. He enjoyed playing sports; flag football, tackle football, basketball, and wrestling. In his free time he hung out with his buddies, running around Colstrip, swimming at CPRD, and riding his bike. He was always on the GO when he had the chance. When his aunties were busy working Wayland would go and hang out with his Grandpa Darrin and Grandma Vivian, as well as his crazy adventures with his Aunt Tori. He went everywhere with his auntie’s Jess and Ness, North Dakota, Idaho, South Dakota, and their late night adventures to Denny’s, He finished his schooling in Lame Deer where he graduated on May 27th, 2024 from Lame Deer High School.
Wayland Jr. will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.
Wayland Jr. was proceeded in death by Grandparents Eugene and Patricia Limpy, Big Brother Jerome Shoulderblade, Grandfather Windy Shoulderblade, Uncle James Shoulderblade, Aunt Delpha Eaglefeathers, Aunt LariJean Beartusk and his baby cousin Tailee Anne Rowland. As well as many others.
Wayland Jr. is survived by his mother Contessa Shoulderblade, Grandmother Jeanie Beartusk, Great Grandmother Margaret Shoulderblade, sister Kayland Limpy, brothers Drayland Limpy and Trayland Beartusk, aunts; Jessie and Tanessa Beartusk, Aunt Tori Allen, Grandpa Darrin (Vivian)Waples , Grandpa Larry Beartusk, Grandpa Marvin Beartusk, Grandpa David Miller, Grandma Darlene, Grandma Dolly, Uncle Dana Eaglefeathers, Uncle Duane Eaglefeathers. His father Wayland Limpy Sr., Aunts; Tisha, Tasheena Limpy, Uncles; Buckshot, Trevor, Travis, Sven Limpy as well as many aunts and uncles and cousins.

The last time I talked to him I told him how proud I was of him. He was quite the character for us @ Headstart 😂 it was good to see him as he grew up but I always encouraged him & knew how hard it was for him when he lost his big brother (his hero) I pray for the family especially my neice Contessa it’s hard to bury another son 😭 I’m sorry I’m unable to attend the services 😩

Waylon was an elementary student of mine. Waylon had a fun personality and truly wanted to be loved and respected. His passing at such a young age is so sad. I pray for peace for all who know Waylon. ❤️
