Wayne Roger Eddy Jr, age 55, of Miles City passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the VA Nursing Home in Miles City after a courageous battle with cancer.
Wayne was born in Fargo, North Dakota on October 22, 1956, the son of Wayne Roger and Elizabeth Ruth (Erickson) Eddy. Soon after his birth, the family moved to Billings, Montana where he grew up. Wayne attended Senior High School in Billings where he graduated. Wayne joined the United States Army serving in Germany during the Vietnam War and learned a career in explosives and detonation. He took this knowledge and applied it to seismographing for 15 years. He enjoyed being out in the middle of nowhere, including the middle of the ocean for two years, seeing things very few people get to see. Wayne also worked as an airplane mechanic in Billings. He settled in Miles City with Julie Mahler, the love of his life, and worked with his brother Dan at Peavey and his brother Dave at Paint & Design.
Wayne enjoyed fishing and camping, floating the Yellowstone, a cold beer as well as building the family hot rods and a good burnout. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and a special love for his dogs. Wayne always made the best of each day and lived his life to the fullest. One of Wayne’s quotes he commonly told his children was “Don’t fret the small things in life.”
Wayne is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Eric) Fridrichson of Billings, MT; his children: Roger Eddy; Ronnie Goldberg; Angela Eddy; John (Kylee) Monica and Curtis Mahler; and two brothers: Dave Eddy, Danny Troy and a sister Patti Troy Clayton and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren all of Miles City and Billings. He was preceded in death by a sister Marie, a brother Robert, mother of his children Elizabeth Lindau; the love of his life Julie Mahler and their two dogs Spike and Lacy.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery in Miles City with full military honors provided by VFW Post 1579. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Eddy family to help with costs.

Dear family of Wayne,
I am sorry for he loss of your loved one and wish to share comfort from the Bible.
The Bible holds out a wonderful hope for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death.
Please read John 5:28,29 in your Bible.
Another wonderful future promise is found at Revelation 21:3,4 where it states that , pain and death will be no more. The former things will have passed away.
When people are resurrected, it will be without the physical defects that mar the lives of so many of us today.
I hope as you read these texts in your Bible , they will be of comfort to you.
Sincerely Dianne Mullins
