Wayne Lewis Jacobson, age 90 of Miles City, MT passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Casper, WY with family by his side.
Wayne was born on May 29, 1929 in Sims, ND the son of Jim and Alice (Hanson) Jacobson. He grew up in Almont, ND. He went to work at the age of 16 on a ranch near Almont. Ranching was Wayne’s life and passion throughout his life. On September 9, 1949 he married the love of his life Pearl Naucke in Miles City, MT. Together they had four children: Kathy Lou, Joan Renae, Randy Wayne and Jimmy, whom passed away at the age of one. Wayne worked the Alley Wang Ranch for many years. Wayne loved to do jig saw puzzles with his wife Pearl and family members. The grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life and he was truly a #1 Grandpa! He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He always worked hard to take care of his family and will be missed greatly.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 70 years Pearl, residing in Casper, WY; his three children: Kathy (Dan) Folske of Bow Bells, ND, Joan (C.R.) Fleming of Casper, WY and Randy (Deb) Jacobson of Harrison, MT; eight grandchildren: Jason, Jodi, Mandi, Lindsey, Shannon, Jesse, Gus & Luke; ten great grandchildren: Daltyn, Shay, Shyla, Maisey, Hallie, Tye, Sydney, Trynidy, Gavin and Bodhi; his brother Jerry Jacobson and his sisters: Phyllis Clausen, Peggy Martin, Betty Scheid and Evie Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jimmy, brothers Eddy and Bob, his sister Carol Witcher and his dog Ben.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2019 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Custer County Cemetery.
