Wendell enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, trap shooting and was involved in the Circle Rifle Club, Volunteer Fire Dept, McCone County Museum and the Memorial Building Association. He was currently working for the museum as the curator. He loved going to auction sales and never came home without buying something. He loved baseball and was a Little League coach and a Cubs fan.

We are so sad to hear about Wendell’s passing. My girls loved visiting the museum every summer and he was a special part of all the fun. When my youngest first started going there when she was 3 years old, she asked grandma why his name was Window. May loving memories comfort you.

Dog gone it anyway. Wendell was a good friend, I never made a trip to Circle in 67 years that I did not look him up.
In 2015 I took my son and two grand sons back to Circle He gave them the royal tour. Threw in lots of stories.
He was a great man to have as a friend.
I hate when the times comes to take the phone number of a goo friend out of your speed dial.
GOD PLESS YOU WENDELL.

Mary, I was saddened to hear about Wendell’s passing. All those Pawlowski men gone now! Wendell, like Uncle Elmo was so dedicated to the Museum. He will be greatly missed. I think of the two of you together and remember there was always smiles on both of you and a sparkle in your eyes. I know you have wonderful, fun memories. May God soften your sorrow with those beautiful memories!

I’m so so to hear of Wendell’s passing. He was a heck of a man that coached many a kid in rifle shoot, me included, and also was one of the most profound experts of McCone county history, a true treasure to this county. His visits and occasional witty comments were something I always looked forward to when I ran into him throughout town or at the gun shows he attended. I salute you, Wendell, they broke the mold and you continued to serve your community after you served your country. Rest In Peace, my friend.

We enjoyed visiting with Wendell at the Museum. He enjoyed talking about the guns and the cattle drive and plenty of stories to go with the pictures and books. Our family enjoyed his kindness and thoughtfulness. The whole community suffers the loss of a good man. Sorry, Mary and family, for your loss. Prayers are with you.
