On the afternoon of Tuesday February 23rd, Wendy passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT. Wendy was 52 years old.
Wendy was born on November 27th, 1968 in the town of Miles City, MT. She was the first daughter, and the third child, of Wanda and William Hodgson. She was raised and attended elementary school, junior high, and high school in Miles City and considered Miles City her forever home.
Wendy was a very empathetic person who always was concerned about others in need, and during her lifetime was able to maintain life-long friendships with many of her classmates from elementary and high school. Wendy worked at Miles Community College for 20 years and enjoyed her coworkers and especially enjoyed being around all the students. At Miles Community College, she was also able become a student as well, and obtained her Associates Degree in Electronics. Wendy also worked in several other positions while growing up, which included waitressing positions at a few restaurants in Miles City.
She loved her Scottish terrier dogs throughout her lifetime and enjoyed watching dog rescue shows on television. While with friends and family, Wendy’s infectious laugh and great sense of humor really resonated with everyone who was around her. She was a loving and lovable person and found happiness and companionship in everyone, especially those in need. In her early life, she enjoyed playing with all of the kids in the neighborhood, and had such an outgoing personality.
In Wendy’s adulthood, she always looked forward to visits from friends and family. She truly loved all of her nieces and nephews, and was ready to spoil them as soon as possible during every visit. She will be deeply missed and always loved by her immediate and extended family, and was always able to embrace, love, and remember everyone in her lifetime in and around the Miles City area.
Wendy is survived by her father William Hodgson, her three brothers Wayne, Wade (Jeannie), and Wesley (Kellie) Hodgson, three nephews Cade, Bennett, and Garrett Hodgson, two nieces Sydney and Sabella Hodgson, and a great nephew Trevin Womack. Wendy was preceded in death by her loving mother Wanda Hodgson.
Special thank you to Becky Chezum for her kindness and support in Wendy’s final days.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Stevenson & Son’s Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held at the Custer County Cemetery. Condolences can be made to the family by visiting www.stevensonandsons.com.

Willie, Wayne, (Frog), Wade and Wesley, and your families,
How saddened I am to discover Wendy’s passing. She was the sweetest girl, with a bright smile and, yes, infectious laugh and just like the rest of you, Wendy was intelligent and sharp-witted.
I have many happy memories of that little girl and I pray her family feels comfort in knowing Wendy was loved, admired and respected by many.
She took having three brothers very well 🙂
Love and prayers to you all,
Joan Schmidt Eddy Bunke

Ted Polette says
It greatly saddens me to hear of Wendy’s passing. I taught Wendy in 7th grade Science at Washington Middle School during my first teaching job. I remember Wendy as a happy and respectful young woman that did her best and treated everyone with love and dignity. She made my entrance into the teaching profession a smooth one where I stayed until 2016 when I retired from Clancy School after 32 blessed years of learning from my wonderful students like Wendy! My sympathy goes out to her dear family and friends. God bless her. His love and mine, Ted Polette
