Wendy Sally Heater, age 62, of Gillette, Wyoming died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of Gillette. Services are pending with the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Wendy Sally Heater was born on June 20, 1941 in Gloustershire, Great Britain, the daughter of George and Vera (Rosamond) Alexander. As a child, her family moved to Great Yarmouth, where she made her home until she moved to the United States in 1983. She then made her home in Saratoga, Wyoming where she worked as a domestic helper for the Davis, the Newmans, and the Stores. This occupation was a reflection of her personality, taking care of people and their homes. She also loved taking care of peoples homes and animals while they were away during the winter months or on vacations. Wendy cooked for outfitters in the mountains and she loved hunting herself. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, cooking, and gardening; she could make anything grow. She displayed her love for her grandchildren by taking them fishing and playing with them in the yard. In January of 2003, she went home to England with her daughter, Susan, of Gillette, Wyoming to visit with all of her daughter, Bernice, her grandchildren, and family. It was a trip she enjoyed very much.
Wendy is survived by Lloyd Wright, of Rawlins, Wyoming; two daughters: Susan Youngberg of Gillette, Wyoming, and Bernice Belcher of Great Britain; two brothers: Nicky Alexander, and Johnathan Alexander; two sisters: Carol Smith and Leslie Wymark of Ipswich, Great Britain; and six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents: George and Verna (Rosamond) Alexander.
A gathering of Friends and Family for Wendy Sally Heater will be held 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Monday, October 6, 2003 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at a later date in Caister On-Sea, England. Interment will follow at a later date.
