Wesley Arnold Dent, age 65, of Miles City passed away at Holy Rosary Healthcare on November 29, 2010.
Wes was born to Ione Dame and Roger Dent on April 4, 1945. He spent his younger years growing up in Wibaux, MT. Wes spent time serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he worked numerous years as a police officer for the Baker Police Department. Later he worked for Mackin Construction in Billings, MT before retiring.Wes enjoyed raising, training and racing horses, he also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Wes is survived by his wife Linda Dent of Miles City, sons Weston (Tyesha) and Jim (Sheryl), and his daughters Mauri, Erin (Brett), Donna (Dace), Jasi (Chad). He is also survived by his twin brothers Marvin and Melvin, brother Lee, sisters Carol and Robin and step-mother Frieda. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron and his uncle Cliff.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:30pm at the Eastern Montana Veterans Cemetery with full military rites provided by the local VFW Post #1154.
