Interment: Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan.
Wesley D. Watson, age 51, of Jordan passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 as a result of an auto accident.
Wesley was born in Miles City, Montana on December 25, 1955, the son of Frank L. and N. Carol (Brooks) Watson. He attended schools in Jordan where he graduated from Garfield County High School in 1974. Following his schooling, he worked for the Kramer Horse Ranch and also worked in the oil fields and on ranches in Wyoming, for Otto Jensen in Lewistown and for Pioneer Garage in Jordan. In February of 1978, he went to work for the Montana Highway Department where he worked for thirty years, at Flowing Wells and later in Jordan where he worked until the time of his death. Wes had a true love for horses and they will take him to his final resting place. He loved to rope, ride his colts and work with his cattle. The bunkhouse door was always open for entertaining guests. For anyone who needed anything, he was there to help in any way. Wes most of all loved spending time with his family and friends out on the wagon train trail.
Wes is survived by his wife Jo Dee Watson of Jordan, MT; a son, Sparky (Natalie) Watson of El Cajon, CA; a daughter, Spring (Brad) Braaten of Indio, CA; his father, Frank F.L.Watson of Miles City, MT; a sister, Leslie Richards of Miles City, MT; one granddaughter, two nieces and six nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Pioneer Cemetery in Jordan. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Jordan High School Rodeo Club, Montana Junior Red Angus Association or the memorial of your choice.
