Wilda Worman, age 94, died on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at her sons home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Wilda Ellen Worman was born on January 9, 1910 the daughter of John David and Rosetta (Tysor) Study in Fremont County, Sidney, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Iowa. On February 13, 1928, Wilda married Noel Adair Worman in Bartlett, Iowa. The couple moved to Wyoming in 1928 to their homestead in the Bowman Hill area which was eventually exchanged for their permanent home on Powder River near the Montana Border where they lived until 1942 when the homestead was sold.
They then moved to Biddle, Montana where they ranched until they moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1946 to provide access to high school for their children. Wilda lived in her own home until a few months ago when she moved into the home of her son Lee and daughter-in-law Evelyn of Gillette, where she resided until her death. Wilda was a devoted homemaker who provided much care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard, caring for her plants and flowers. But above all, her foremost interest was her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for all of them. She was a wonderfully caring mother and grandmother who was always there when she was needed. Wilda will be greatly missed by all of her family.
Wilda is survived by her three sons: Brooks (Clara) of Gillette, Wyoming; Lee (Evelyn) of Gillette, Wyoming and David (Dorothy) of Biddle, Montana; two brothers: Brooks of Sheridan, Wyoming and Willard of Arvada, Wyoming; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Noel, a daughter Dorothy; two sons: Truman and an infant son Ned.
