William “Bill” Joseph Balducke, age 82, of Miles City passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Miles City.
Bill was born on March 19, 1941 in Beach, North Dakota, the sixth of ten children born to Frank and Leona (Holst) Balducke. He grew up on the family ranch south of Sidney. He attended Elm Coulee Country School which he walked two miles to and from each day with his siblings. Following his schooling, he remained on the family ranch where he worked until he was 62. He then moved into Sidney and worked at various places including the sales yards, Reynolds Market and IGA. He lived in Sidney until he started having health issues and moved to Miles City where he resided at Holy Rosary Extended Care at the time of his death.
Bill liked to watch old westerns on TV, especially “John Wayne”.
Bill is survived by his sister, Francie Mackin of Miles City, MT and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Benjamin, Tony and Joseph Frank Balducke; and five sisters: Mary Thrams, Mae Belle Staggs, Louise Rehbein, Lois McRae and Myrtle Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home in Sidney. Interment will follow in the Richland Memorial Cemetery in Sidney. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
