My sincere condolences to the family and friends of William K. Straw – I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in many beautiful memories of Mr. Straw at this difficult time. The Bible gives us hope that soon the Creator will end all suffering, pain, and death. (Revelation 21:4) The promise of Paradise, the perfect conditions God originally intended for mankind in the Garden of Eden will be fulfilled including God’s “will being done as in Heaven also up on Earth” (Matt 6:9, 10). Please continue to be comforted by the many promises in the Bible that give us hope (John 17:3).

I returned to Forsyth in 2000 after being away for 30 years. One of the blessings of returning home was being a friend of Bill. Most mornings I’d stop over to Butch Snedker’s place. Usually Gesa, John, or Bill, sometimes all of them, would be gathered in that tiny kitchen. I’d have a cup of some really awful coffee and listen to them tell stories. Bill could tell a story better than anyone once he “got goin”.
When Butch passed away I didn’t get to visit with Bill so often. I will miss him.
