William A. Twitchell, age 90, died Sunday, March 11, 2007 in Wolf Point, MT of natural causes. He was born, one of a set of twins, to James and Inez (Baldwin) Twitchell on March 13, 1916 on the homestead 7 miles South of Frazer, MT.
William was in the U.S. Army from 1942 1945. During those years, he was in England and the Philippines and also worked in the mess hall in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. On March 23, 1946, William married Mary Gebhardt in Fallon, MT. They farmed and ranched on the homestead South of Frazer. In 1972 they moved back to Fallon and resided there until 1999.
William was a member of the EUB Church. During his retirement years, William braided many tow ropes and enjoyed his garden, especially growing potatoes. He also enjoyed spending time with his dear grandchildren.
Williams beloved wife, Mary, preceded him in death April 29, 1994. William is survived by his daughter, Louise Twitchell of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Todd Twitchell, Amber (Russell) Foster, Andrea Twitchell, all of Glasgow, Amiee (Elliot Garfield) Bryson, of Wolf Point and Tonya Twitchell of Fort Peck, MT; nine great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jordon, Austin, Zach, Chase, Lylie, Roland, Summer and Briah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 15 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friends are invited to attend and then meet at the Sherman Inn Banquet Room where refreshments will be served. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2007 at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point. Interment will be at Fallon Cemetery, Fallon, MT

I went with my grandparents to his brother’s funeral as a child. My grandfather, Clayton Leroy Goodsell, was his older half brother. I may be a little late in signing the guest book, but that is ok. I would like to connect with the other side of my family.
