William Youngman

Wake: Monday, April 16 at Poplar Community Hall with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM

Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Community Hall

Interment: Box Elder Cemetery, Poplar

William Bill Youngman Jr., age 87, passed away April 11, 2007 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana from complications of respiratory disease.

Bill was born May 7, 1919 to William and Ruth (Standing Bear) Youngman Sr. in rural Poplar, MT.While growing up in Poplar he attended Kamaha Boarding School in Oregon and helped out on the ranch caring for cattle and horses.Bill joined the National Guard Reserve.He held various jobs. He was involved in the construction of the Fort Peck Dam, worked for the Fry Cattle Company for the BIA Range, the Fort Peck Tribes. He retired in 1980, worked for the Fort Peck Community College for a few years and then retired again in 1994.Bill met and married Lucy Myrick (who has preceded him in death), and from this union their son, Floyd was born.He met and married Stella Coulter and they had Lois, Arlene, Leonard, Monte, Doris, Eldon, Sharon and Willard.

Bill was kind and generous, always helping out those in need; he had a sense of humor. If you went to visit, he was always watching a game. Before his accident Bill was very active. At the start of spring you would find him in his yard, getting his garden ready! He was a member of the Lindsey Memorial Dakota Presbyterian Church.

Surviving him are a brother Mike (Myrna) Youngman of Wolf Point, two sisters, Rita Long Chase and Florence Wospi Youngman both of Poplar; three sons, Leonard, Monte and Eldon all of Poplar and a daughter, Doris (Gene) Gone of Ft. Belknap, MT.

Preceding him in death are his parents, William and Ruth, his brothers Lawrence Larry, Douglas, his sisters Christine and Nettle; wife Stella, a son Floyd and two daughters, Lois Jean and Arlene.

A wake for Bill Youngman will be Monday, April 16, 2007 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Poplar Cultural Center with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poplar Culture Center with Reverend Enright Bighorn officiating. Burial will follow at Box Elder Cemetery, Poplar, Montana.

    I love and miss you grandpa I wish you where still here to help me go through this life with me and help miss you and love you grandpa even though I was just little when you passed away I still remember you though I remember your funeral too we love you grandpa tana and leimia and Annette youngman
