   I always enjoyed Nona. She was a friend of our friends, the Nybos. Ida even named one of her mares Nona! She was a pretty woman and a very hard worker. My prayers.

   Nona was my stepmother for over 30 years, and even though I didn’t show it I had a very deep respect for her. She was one of those rare people who never asked for anything, and was always so giving to anyone. She loved her family through thick and thin and died with no regrets or hatred in her heart. I will miss her always.
