In Memory Of

Zachary Blue Childs

Visitation: will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming

Memorial Service: will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, at the Wright Baptist Church in Wright, WY

Memorial Service: will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in Torrington, WY

Two memorial services will be held for Zachary Childs, known to his family and friends as Zach. The first service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, at the Wright Baptist Church in Wright, Wyoming with Pastor Clay Alexander officiating. The second memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in Torrington, Wyoming with Pastor Ora Dailey officiating.

Visitation will be from4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.

Zach Childs, age 23, of Wright, Wyoming died September 29, 2004, in Wright, Wyoming of injuries sustained in a work related accident.

Zachary Blue Childs was born January 21, 1981, the son of Steve and Kathy (Blue) Childs in Torrington, Wyoming. Zach was raised and educated in Torrington, graduating from Torrington High School in 1999. He attended Eastern Wyoming College and received his associates degree in Applied Science for welding in 2001. After college,Zach moved to Wright, Wyoming to work for Brazier Mine Construction until the time of his death. He married ValerieSchlidt on July 30, 2004, in Gillette, Wyoming.

Zachs passion was being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed family gatherings.

Zach is survived by his wife, Valerie of Wright, Wyoming; a son, Blake Childs of Wright, Wyoming; his step-son, Jordan Parsons of Gillette, Wyoming; his parents: Steve and Kathy Childs; his grandparents: Gerald and Dolores Childs; and Lyle and Phyllis Blue all of Torrington, Wyoming; his great grandmother, OletaKeim of Torrington, Wyoming; a brother, Evan Childs; two sisters: Molly and Libby Childs, all of Torrington, Wyoming; mother and father-in-law: Gary and Vicky Schlidt of Wright, Wyoming; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one uncle, Paul Blue.

A memorial has been established in Zachs name.
