Adam Staudinger, age 79, of Forsyth formerly of Miles City passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.
Adam was born in Fayette, North Dakota on December 16, 1932, the son of Emanuel F. and Anna (Kountz) Staudinger. He grew up and attended country school in North Dakota. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 9, 1953 and was honorably discharged on May 11, 1955. While in the service, he was stationed in Germany. Following his discharge, He worked on various farms and ranches in the Miles City area. In 1962, he began working for Burlington Northern Railroad and continued working there for 30 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed fishing by the old Milwaukee Bridge and at twelve mile dam. He and his dog Punk, enjoyed feeding the squirrels in the park. Adam was very resourceful and even built his garage out of scrap wood and built his own wheelchair ramps.
Adam is survived by three sons: Larry (Roseanne) Olguin of Walsenburg, CO; David (Danette) Olguin of Miles City, MT; and Russell (Cindy) Aragon of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters: Susan (Cliff) Brown of Forsyth, MT; and Dorothy Olguin of Miles City, MT; a sister, Gladys (Homer) Atkinson of Choctaw, OK; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life Mary “Rose” Olguin; two brothers: Frank and Atone Staudinger, and two sisters: Hildkgard and Magdalene Pearson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the Eastern Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery with full military honors provided by VFW Post 1579. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the VFW Kitchen Gals or Holy Rosary Hospice.

I FRIST MET ADAM WHEN I STARTED WORKING OPN THE RAILROAD IN 1966. HE WAS ALWAYS A JOY TO BE AROUND AND SURE OF HIMSELF.

Adam worked for me while I was the section forman for the Burlington Northern RR at Miles City. He was a good employee. Alway availabe when needed and very proud of his job. It seems he was always busy doing something even during his breaks. I sure enjoyed working around him. He will be missed.
