Alan Alexander Oldman, Ota’tavenste “Blue Face”, 15 months old, went home to the loving embrace of Ma’heo on February 14, 2019 at the Lame Deer IHS Clinic. An enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe and raised on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation, Alan was born October 27, 2017 to Drew Oldman and Alyse Marshall of Lame Deer, MT. He brought a special joy into our lives with an infectious smile and brightness that could light up any room.
When he was first born, he was a quiet and calm baby who was always playful and hesitant of strangers until he got used to your company. At 10 months old, he began his first steps at walking, a whole new world opened up for him. He enjoyed playing in the outdoors and enjoyed following his mom and dad around wherever they were.
Our “Little Man” and “Hunkachunk”, Alan’s favorite drink was apple juice and he enjoyed watching his favorite cartoon Puppy Dog Pals. He always had a playful demeanor and enjoyed taking cruises in the car.
His grandmother Esther would sing to him and he liked to dance to her songs as well as learning the Cheyenne language and was just beginning to know his numbers.
Alan was preceded in death by his brothers Cyro Littlebird and Zion Limpy, sister Frankie Jo Limpy, grandpa Vance Littlebird, twin uncles Lance & Vance Littlebird, Aunts Norene Littlebird and Danielle Oldman & Uncle Daniel Oldman III. We sincerely thank everyone who brought food, gifts, monetary donations, cards and all of the love and support during our time of sorrow.
Baby Alan, fly high with the angels now, we love you and will always miss you…We’ll see you again, our little “Hunkachunk”.
