Beryl Lucile Williams McClure, age 90 of Recluse, WY, passed away at 10:55 p.m. of January 17, 2015 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, WY; with her family by her side.
Beryl was born on the family ranch southwest of Moorcroft, WY on August 22, 1924 to Noah B. and Lillie May Vandalia Crayne Williams. She was the fifth of seven children. Beryl met Dean McClure at a country dance and they were married three months later. They were wed on July 14, 1945 at the Lutheran Church in Broadus, MT. They honey mooned in the Black Hills. Beryl enjoyed gardening, farm animals, being outside, riding horses to gather cows in her younger days, haying, crocheting, sewing, embroidering, quilting and reading romance novels.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Lillie; her husband Dean; her siblings: Elmer, Luther, Emma, Ethel, Mary and Cecil; her son Jimmy Dean, one grandchild Kayleen; and several nieces and nephews.
Beryl is survived by four of her five children and their spouses: Deana and Robert, Jimmy’s spouse Erna; Lucile and Ben; Merle and Vicki; Gail and Thomas; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Broadus, MT. A reception will follow at the VFW Hall. Burial will be held at a later date at the family cemetery on the McClure ranch. Please send any memorials to your favorite charity in memory of Beryl.
