Beryl June Schnebly Becker Zahn of Circle, Montana passed on to glory on November 24, 2021 at the McCone County Health Center as the result of a stroke, with family by her side. Beryl passed away 14 hours after her husband Don passed.
Beryl was born June 14, 1932 in Circle to Louis Schnebly and Lena Jewel (Harmon) Schnebly. As a young child she lived at a boarding house which
her grandparents operated. Later, her Aunt Blanche Elverud became a second mother to her. She lived with Blanche while her parents taught school or went to summer school.
Beryl spent her grade school years in Circle, Scobey and Plains, Montana. Her father, Louis, was called back to Circle to be the County Superintendent of Schools when she was in 8th grade. She graduated from Circle High School.
In high school she was a choir accompanist and later a church accompanist. She also played classical music. Sewing was a favorite hobby of hers.
On June 17, 1950 she married LeRoy Becker. They moved to the family
farm west of Circle, where she quickly learned the ways of hard work on the eastern Montana prairie while raising 3 children. She loved taking care of her chickens, which quickly became her favorite pets.
After LeRoy died from a farm accident, she married Donald Zahn in 1969. They continued to work and live on the farm until their deaths. Together
they enjoyed hunting, fishing and many snowmobile races. Later years found her cleaning the clinic and nursing home for 18 years with her best friend Marian Johnson. She became quite adept at surfing the internet and used this new found skill to increase her knowledge of the Bible and faith.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents and also husbands, LeRoy and recently Don Zahn. She is survived by her children: daughter Cindy Liese (Dave) and grandson Matthew (Alecia), her son Harley Becker (Jackie) and grandsons Rory (Elizabeth) and Bryan (Denni), her son Scott Becker (Konny) grandson Jeremy, and granddaughter Tracy Schreibeis (Eric).
Also included are 11 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandson.

CINDY, SONNY and SCOTT so sorry to hear of your loss. Beryl was a good friend to Mom and always seemed to have a smile for others. I have some special memories with your family, like the time your mom took us kids fishing and we ran out of gas before we got home that night. sincerely, bob kemp

To all Beryl’s family, words can’t explain nor show the feelings of my heart. i only wish I had been able to spend more time with her these past years, time goes so fast and we are always in such a hurry to be somewhere else. Now she is, somewhere else warm and probably with chickens enjoying beautiful gardens, she will not be lonely as both Leeroy and Don have gone before. The only that thing that could ever compete with her smile would be a big blue Montana sky on a sunny summer day. Her faith was amazing and it’s depth she shared with others. She was a treat to know.
