Charlie loved a great joke and a good laugh. He was always pulling a prank on someone, or lightening the mood with his quick wit.

Charlie had an unbelievable work ethic and a determined soul that would stop at nothing to help a friend. He was an avid horsemen, superior marksman, outdoorsman, gardener, cook and ‘Ole time Cowboy.

Charlie is survived by his loving family; Eric Frank, (Leroy, Angel); Sherry Lynne, (Tom) Savannah Leigh and Dallas Nicole Shaw, Adele and Kon Speelmon; Terri Lee (Mike) Alyssa, Colten, and Tarynn Harrsch; and Charlie T.; his three sisters Bertha (Walt) Rebish; Ilene Hough, Marie (Wally) Stieg.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma; sisters, Edna, Aletha; brothers, George, Walter, Paul, and Claude, brother-in-law Victor (Slim) Hough; a niece Vicky Hough Danklefsen; grandson Lance Ness and dear friend Thelma Hostetler. His other survivors include extended family and all of Charlie’s friends.

    To Charlie’s family,
Earl joins me in sending heartfelt condolences to you in the recent loss of Charlie. May you find strength in knowing others care, and are thinking of, and praying for you at this difficult time. Charlie will always hold a special place in my heart for a favor he did for me in 1977. On a cold raging blizzard day in January I was involved a car accident and suffered serious injuries. I was taken to the hospital in Miles City. My parents were contacted, but the road in to our ranch was blocked. Charlie, using heavy equipment of his own, plowed out the long stretch of county road to our ranch. My late parents and I talked about his kindness many times. It will never be forgotten.
May warm memories soften your sorrow, and may faith help you face each tomorrow.

Charlei has been a great neighbor for several years. I would look out our back yard all most every day in the summer just to see if I could see him sitting in his chair at the end of the garage. He shared conversation and garden vegies ( even if it was Sherri’s garden) .. We would take the short cut through his yard to go to Bill & Anns house across the street. Once in awhile he would be inside his deck and spook me when I walked through.. made me laugh.. Warm memories and he will sureley be missed. So sorry..
