We are so sad!! What a great lady Cherri was! She taught several of our children and they loved her. She was so gifted in knowing the right amount of fun and discipline that children needed to provide a learning environment. We were privileged to have her as a part of their school years and she had a special place in our hearts. She was a courageous, caring lady, we will miss her!!
Jan Munroe says
Having taught with Cheri I appreciate what a wonderful teacher she was. She was also such a loyal daughter-in-law, caring for her mother-in-law with tenderness until she passed. What a courageous lady in her own illness never complaining and always ready to give you a smile. Rest in peace, Cheri. You are home at last.

Cheri will remain in our memories the wonderful, smiling and caring person she was. I remember when she turned 30. She was so sure she was “old”! Still makes me chuckle. She was blessed to have a job she loved and friends who adored her. She will be missed.

Cherri was one amazing lady and I owe her so much! I had the privilege of being a student teacher under “Mrs. McAulay” and I can truly say that I learned from the best! From the first day, I knew I was in for a blessing, just by getting to spend each day in her company. She was a woman of grace, dignity, and love, despite a medical condition that gave her every excuse to do and be the opposite. I will be forever grateful for all she taught me about teaching…and about finding the best in each day, no matter what your circumstances. You will be forever loved and never forgotten Mrs. McAulay!
Heidi Zentz says
Mrs McAulay was such a sweet lady. She taught my son at Highland Park, years ago. I always enjoyed visiting with Cherri when ever our paths would cross. No matter what, she always, always had a smile for anyone. We all will miss her.

As I read the comments I felt that I missed out on a lot of Cherri’s life as I did not know her when she taught school. I did have the pleasure of attending a Bible study group with her at Eagles Manor. She was a bright spot in our group. She always had a beautiful smile. We all will miss her input. Be at rest with your father in heaven.
