Clara McWilliams, age 83 of Jordan, MT, passed away at the Garfield County Health Center in Jordan on October 5, 2021.
Clara was born on August 25, 1938 in Jordan to Phillip and Maggie (Ziegle) Rath. She attended grade school in Jordan and graduated from Garfield High School in 1956.
On August 31, 1956, she married Dean McWilliams in Aberdeen S.D. and she followed Dean as he worked construction throughout the country. When starting their family, she returned to the Ranch at Cohagen, MT in 1962 where she embraced her life as a homemaker and raised five children. She remained on the ranch until 1986 after Dean passed away, she moved to Jordan where she cooked for the school, the senior center, and Ranchers Bar.
Clara loved to cook and will be remembered for her delicious caramel rolls and she enjoyed making mints for many occasions. She enjoyed play cards, work in her yard and socializing. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, children and grandchildren.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dean, and recently her son Calvin McWilliams. She is survived by her sons: Jim (Carla) McWilliams of Jordan; and Larry (Sandra) McWilliams of Great Falls, MT; two daughters; Rhonda (Mike) Losinski of Cohagen and DeAnn “Gert” McWilliams of Jordan; one brother Ray Rath of Miles City; two sisters Shirley (Ray) Siegle of Belgrade, MT and Ruth (Bill) Gass of Billings, MT, a sister-in-law Helen Rath of Miles City, MT, a special friend Aggie Stanton of Billings, MT, 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great- great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the VFW Hall in Jordan. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery.
