Darrell Lee Morris JR, 43 of Big Cabin, Oklahoma passed away late afternoon Friday January 10, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma from fighting a lifelong disease. Darrell was born on July 14, 1976 in Tulsa, OK to Cynthia Butcher and Darrell Morris SR. He grew up in the small town of Collinsville, Oklahoma until he was 14, where he then moved to Colstrip, Montana where he graduated high school in 1995. He eventually moved back home to Oklahoma.
Anyone who knew Darrell knew he loved to laugh and joke around with everyone. His humor was simply out of this world. Every day he had a new joke to tell and would make sure you would laugh, whether it was by his facial expressions or by the way he changed the sound of his voice. He had a love for the color black and of course Def Leppard. He knew every song of theirs by heart. And don’t worry, he made sure you did too. He also had a crazy love for his five children, whom are his pride and joy. He always made sure they felt loved and that they could be comfortable in their own skin. He did his best to make sure they had everything they needed or wanted. He loved them more than Star Wars, and you best believe that’s a lot of love because he was Star Wars # 1 fan. He owned or knew everything there was to know or had to do with Star Wars, literally everything.
Darrell was one of a kind and no one could ever replace him. He knew how to give a different kind of love to us by using laughter. But now he’s in a better place where he no longer feels tired nor pain. He’s finally reunited with his little brother, William, whom is also his best friend. Although Darrell is no longer here with us physically, as Obi Wan Kanobi once said, “Remember… the force will be with you, always.”, he is that force that will always be with us.
He is survived by his mother Cynthia Butcher of Chelsea, OK, his father Darrell Morris SR and Mom # 2 Shirl Morris of Miles City, MT. His five children: Maria Morris of Glasgow, MT, Falcon & Tristan Clemens of Tulsa, OK, Amara Morris of Chicago, IL, and Rowan Morris of Tulsa, OK. His siblings: sister Dawn Morris of Greeley, CO, brother David Morris & his wife Laura of Bozeman, MT, sister Amanda Harper & her husband Gary of Chelsea, Ok, brother Raymond Morris & his fiancé Connie Ortiz of Billings, MT, brother Jordan Bryant-Morris of Bozeman, MT, and sister Annabelle Hess & her husband Harley of Ochelata, OK. His Grandparents: William & Cinda Butcher of Nowata, OK and Jasper (Dan) & Petra (Pat) Morris of Miles City, MT. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. He is preceded in death by his little brother William Dan Morris, his Aunt Beth Butcher, his Grandparents, his Great Grandparents and Cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Dolton Funeral Home in Collinsville, OK. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Church of the Nazarene in Collinsville, OK with Reverend Tim Odom officiating. Cremation took place after funeral service.
Darrell Morris SR & his wife Shirl (Mom #2) brought Darrell JR back home to Miles City, MT, where they will have a Memorial Service to Celebrate his Life on Saturday, July 18, 2020 – time and place will be announced via Facebook Event that will be created under Darrell JR’s name. Spreading of his ashes will follow the Memorial Service.
