Elizabeth D. Hofer, age 81of Miles City, passed away on June 18, 2018 at her home with family by her side.
Elizabeth was born on January 26, 1937 in Miles City, MT. She was the daughter of Carl and Katherine (Paul) Schneidt Sr. Her family grew up in the Olive area until they moved back to Miles City in 1946. She attended grade school in Miles City and graduated from Custer County High School. Elizabeth and Birney were married in September of 1957. Starting out she worked various jobs waitressing and as a telephone operator. She found her niche as a parts manager with Sears and was with them for 36 years. When she retired she worked in the parts department at John Deere. Elizabeth loved gardening, sewing and her cows. Her first priority was her family, making sure they had food and drinks whenever they came by to visit and had family gatherings at the place.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Birney of Miles City; her son Delbert (Julie) Hofer of Miles City; daughter Debra Rentschler of Miles City, six siblings, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
