Etta Elaine Jonas, age 86, of Terry passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Prairie Community Nursing Home in Terry, Montana.

She married Raymond Jonas on September 17, 1952 in Miles City, Montana. Following their marriage, they moved to their farm north of Terry where Elaine worked alongside her husband. Many of these talents were passed on to her children. Elaine instilled the value of hard work, responsibility and respect. Life was not easy at times for her, but she always had a positive attitude believing that tomorrow would be better. Elaine loved her children unconditionally and was always there to support them through the good and bad times. Her grandchildren were very special to her and she always enjoyed taking care of them whenever possible.

To my cousins and friends Rolane, Rance, Shayne, Yolanda and Duke, I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother, Elaine. I have clear memories of her hospitality and kindness when we would stop at the farm to visit. (I also recall a certain fuel tank we would roll down in, on one of the hills at your place.) Mother was very fond of her cousin Elaine and always enjoyed spending time with her. She also had some vivid recollections of spending time with her cousin, it brought her a lot of joy. Carol and I are thinking of you and trust that you will rest in God’s peace with the passing of you mother. Our very best.
