Gary passed away November 29 at home with his family present.
He was born in Miles City, Montana to Donald and Angeline (Angie) Bonogofsky on June 8, 1962. He attended Garfield Elementary School and then graduated from Custer County High School in 1981. In 1987 he married Priscilla Higginbotham and to this marriage was born a beautiful baby girl, Brittney Elizabeth.
Gary spent the first several years of his adulthood working for Border Steel and Recycling where he said he learned you better be tough and have good work ethic to survive the real world. This prepared him to expand his wings into auto and heavy truck mechanics and oil patch work in Jonah Field in Wyoming and the Bakkan oil fields in Montana and North Dakota. From 2002 to 2017 he worked in the patch for Caza Drilling (Ensign U.S. Drilling), Schillinger Const., Barkan Backhoe and Trenching, and Cowboy Crane Services LLC. The patch started shutting down and he decided he was getting too old and stove up to chase that dream anymore. He returned to work at Border Steele and Recycling where he stayed until his end.
In March of 2006 Gary and Rhonda Miller Brown where married. This proved how brave Gary really was. He married a red head and got three red headed step-sons. Dustin Brown (Denise), Sidney Brown and Quinn Brown.
Gary is survived by his wife Rhonda, daughter Brittney (Tim) Steadman and grandbaby on the way of Butte, MT; sons Dustin (Denise) Brown and kids Serena, Byron, and Nathan; Sidney Brown; and Quinn Brown all in Miles City, MT. Brother Donald Bonogofsky of Miles City, MT; Sister Lisa (Bill) Pulse of Miles City, MT and their kids TJ and Haley; Cousin Duane Siegel of Miles City, MT; Sisters-in-law Robin (Dave) Johnson of Hebron, ND; Roxann (Duane) Bollinger of Las Vegas, NV; Brothers-in-law Bill (Alma) Miller of Fort Worth, TX; Randy (Nihan) Miller of Helena, MT; and John (Belinda) Miller of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Gary is preceded in death by Grandparents Dennis and Mary Bonogofsky, Grandparents Peter and Frances Pfleger, and his parents Donald and Angie Bonogofsky.
There have been laughter and tears, ups and downs, good times and rough times and we made it through it all.
Honey, THANK YOU FOR THE RIDE.

I am shocked of Gary’s passing. I got to know Gary during my first year of college in 84. He was so funny, he would also give the shirt off his back to help anyone. I have been trying to find him for a couple of years to say hi. Well Gary this was not the way I wanted to do that. Rest in Peace my friend we will reconnect one day. Behave yourself up there-no don’t it would be to hard for you to do that. I give my deepest condolences to Gary’s family.

Rhonda. Quinn Sidney and Dusty and family. Still feel so sad about Gary passing. Your whole family has been so good to us ..living across the street as neighbors for years. When it came to helping get us out of our driveway. There was Gary with big power equipment digging us out so we could go somewhere. From the deep snow Your whole family was very caring to everyone and Charice and me will never forget all the help we received even now into the future. May the good Lord watch over you and Bless you. Heaven received another Angel in Gary passing. May God bless you all
