My heart felt condolences to the family and friends of Gary. For 8 years we lived next to each other as kids in Billings and were very close friends. Together we played cowboys, soldiers, hundreds of basketball games in driveways (he was taller than all of us) and all the things boys do. We went hunting and fishing together. We had a good time together. He took me flying when he was in Civil Air Patrol. At the time I hoped we wouldn’t crash in downtown Billings ’cause people would be mad at us! After college we lost touch, then he dropped by my home in Madison WI in the 1970’s. I last spoke to him by phone 20 years ago then lost his number. Every time I was in Montana I tried to find a phone number for him but never could. I wish I could have talked to him once more.
So, I’ll say goodbye to my friend one more time.
If anyone would like to fill me in about Gary’s more recent life feel free to email me at billtrejo@gmail.com. I would appreciate it.
