Harlowe L. Vollmer, age 66 of Jordan passed away on September 17, 2014 at his home in Jordan, MT.
Harlowe was born on June 26, 1948, the son of Oscar and Linda (Hahn) Vollmer in Jordan, MT. He grew up and attended grade school in Jordan. He graduated from Garfield County High school in 1966 and shortly after joined the Army. During his time with the Army he spent two years in Germany. After he got out of the Army he returned to Jordan. In 1971 he married Diana Lorry Ryan. To this marriage he had two children: Joe & Burt. In the early 1970’s he worked at the Pioneer Garage in Jordan. In 1982 he started his own auto mechanic business, Vollmer Repair, which he continued to operate until the time of his death. In 1989 he had a daughter named Sarena. Harlowe loved to hunt and go boating at the lake. He also enjoyed taking his kids on casual drives across the county.
Harlowe is survived by his sons: Joe (Denise) Vollmer of Temecula, CA and Burt Vollmer of Missoula, MT; his daughter Sarena Vollmer of Miles City, MT; his brothers: Jerry Vollmer, Don Vollmer & Lynal Vollmer and a sister Kathy Vollmer. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Abbey, Emma & Ella.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. Interment will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.
