Jimmy “James” Ludwig
On the morning of July 3, 2023, Jim passed away peacefully at his home in Miles City, MT.
Jim was born in Myers, MT on April 16, 1939. He was the second child of Stanley and Pauline Ludwig. Jim grew up and attended school in Rosebud, MT till 18 when he went on active duty for the army in 1957. He spent eight years in Fort Bliss Texas as a General till 1965. After serving he moved back home to Montana to become a Ranch hand in Miles City where he met his wife Judy Fleming. Jim and Judy wed the year of 1972 in Belle Fouche, SD. They decided to make their home in Miles City where they had four children Paula, James, April, and Ginger. After having children Jim moved on to work for Gierke’s delivery where he would deliver to Miles City’s and surrounding area’s businesses for 16 years. He became a well-known and trusted man at all Eastern Montana small businesses.
Jim enjoyed spending time at home with family and watching Western movies. His hobbies were hunting, tinkering with motors, and always willing to help out a neighbor. His kindness was always above and beyond with a casual sense of humor to keep the room smiling.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Judy Gail Ludwig, father Stanley Ludwig, and mother Pauline Ludwig.
Jim is survived by brother Joe Ludwig, sister Pauline Johnson, daughter Paula Syring, son James Ludwig and wife Lisa, daughter April Ludwig, daughter Ginger Everling and husband Wayne, and six granddaughters.

Jim delivered my newspaper for many years. I always enjoyed visiting with him. He was always so pleasant.
