Rose Marie James, 59, passed away at home on November 1, 2023. She was born on January 5, 1964 to Carol Ray James and Veronica Rowland in Louisville, Kentucky.
Rose was raised in Lame Deer, Montana. She lived in Pine Ridge, South Dakota for awhile and in Kentucky. She attended school in Lame Deer. She received her GED at Chief Dull Knife College. She also received an Associates of Arts Degree at Chief Dull Knife College in 2022. She worked for Home Care Services as a Home Care Provider for 5 years and at Northern Cheyenne Headstart as a Teachers Aide.
She enjoyed taking care of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. She enjoyed beading jewelry and collecting jewelry and antiques. During her childhood years, she liked to play with all her cousins, riding horses, fishing, hunting and climbing hills. Rose enjoyed camping and being outdoors.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Carol Ray James and Veronica Rowland, uncles; Eugene, Clarence and Benton Rowland, Jr., Aunts; Marie Prettyboy, Margaret Catches, and Rose Mills, cousins; Kevin and Tony Bordeaux, Christopher PrettyBoy, Ronald and Reno Rowland, Anita, Vikki, Patrick and Gary Rowland, Lincoln, Dewey, Benita, and Perry Mills, niece Hannah James.
She is survived by her children; Michael (Kyra) Guavera, Dalena (Marquise) Bullcoming, grandchildren; Michael Jr, Davis and Kyrell Guavera, Tyler, Mary, Crystal, and Erin Williamson, sister; Kathy Roberts of Corpus Christi, TX, brothers; Thomas and Russell James of Lame Deer, MT., aunts; Emma Homer, cousins; Madonna, Anna (Essence), Ben, and Ken (Monica) Bordeaux, Mario, Charity, and Serena PrettyBoy, Marvin and Terry Mills, Elizabeth Leftwich, Dorothy Rowland, Martha, Eugene, Judith, Anthony, Reggie, and Thomas Rowland, nieces and nephews, Aleda Spang, Hailey, Carly, Kinsey and Trucke James, Tony, Hunter, Christian, Jesse, Rusty, Teela, Veronica and Tessa James.
Families include Rowland, Bordeaux, James, Prettyboy, Leedom, Redcherries, Cohloff, and Mills. We apologize for anyone that we have missed.
