James Wilburn Davis Jr. passed away at Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home on June 2, 2015.
James was born on June 11, 1949 in Bay, Arkansas. He enlisted in the Air Force on June 16, 1966. He went through basic training in Texas at Lackland Air Force Base. James served as a petroleum storage specialist. He received an honorable discharge from the Air Force in February 1967. From 1969 to 1971, James served in the Marine Corps and received commendation for his service on the USS Barbour County in 1970.
James schooled and worked in electronics and machinery after an honorable medical discharge from the Marine Corps in 1971 and did extensive volunteer service at VA facilities.
James was married to Anita and they had two children. His daughter Jamie resides in Victoria, BC and his son James resides in McAlester, OK.
James always enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing chess, square dancing and playing guitar. He loved to travel and to be around people.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by his children Jamie and James, two brothers who reside in Bay, Arkansas, and devoted friends Virginia (Ginny) Brown of Glendive and Tim and Marva Dietrich and family of Fairview, MT.
