Jeffrey E. Mitchell, age 62, former Miles City resident, passed away on May 10, 2016 at his home in Sparks, Nevada of natural causes.
Jeff was born in Miles City, August 27, 1953, the third son of Richard G. Mitchell and Margaret L. (Gilbert) Mitchell. He attended schools in Miles City, graduating from Custer County High School in 1971. After high school he attended college for a short time at the University of Montana, then returned to Miles City. He married the former Jacki Holmes in 1981, and to this marriage he was blessed with a daughter, Ashlee. The marriage between Jeff and Jacki was dissolved in 1991. Jeff spent his career investing and managing real estate properties. He also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV with his friends. He was a season ticket holder for the University of Nevada Wolfpack football and Reno’s minor league baseball team, the Reno Aces. He also enjoyed his walks along the Truckee River.
Jeff is survived by his daughter Ashlee Mitchell of Denver, Colorado, his parents Richard and Margaret Mitchell of Green Valley, Arizona, and his brothers Richard (Nancy) Mitchell, Jr. and Gregory Mitchell both of Miles City. He is also survived by his nephew Eric Mitchell of Billings, niece AnneMarie (Neil) Wallette and great niece Chloe Wallette of Miles City.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.stevensonandsons.com.

Jeff may not have been my dad by blood, he took me in and treated me as his own. we got so close over the last 10 yrs. he has built a very life changing relationship with my daughter. We all went to many football,baseball games. Spent so many nights talking and being a family. Most of you know Jeff has been my dad for almost my while life, I wouldnt change that for anything. he will greatly missed everyday…..
