Andrew Jerry Woods was born on March 30, 1948 to Albert and Mary Jean Woods. He was the fourth of eight children. Jerry as he was affectionately known was raised on the family ranch on Graveyard Creek, Hathaway, Montana. Jerry attended Rosebud Schools and was always the schools number one fan. As an adult, Jerry worked a variety of jobs; farming, digging water wells, fencing, and for the Rosebud County Cemetery. Due to health issues, Jerry spent several years in the Lewistown Care Center.
Jerry enjoyed the time he spent with his friends and family. At Rosebud, he was a permanent fixture at every special occasion. His voice was one of the loudest at the sporting events as he cheered on the Rosebud Wranglers, especially the teams that had his siblings, nephews, or nieces on the roster. Jerry enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fencing, driving his truck, and was fascinated with airplanes, and treasured airplane magazines.
Although Jerry was close with his siblings, he had a very special bond and affection with his nephews and nieces. Uncle Jerry was kind to each of them, had special nicknames that he teased some of them with, and always remembered their birthdays and Christmas. He is loved by all of them.
Jerry is survived by his sisters, Anna Todoroff, and Winona Wise; brothers, William (Sonja), Matthew (Vicky), Michael (Darla); nieces, Jeanie, Donna, Amy, Amber, and Miranda; nephews: Pete, Michael, Jay, Tim, Joel, Jim, Dusty, Matt, and Maxwell.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Jean; brothers, Frank and Albert; and niece, Catherine. Memorials may be made to Rosebud School, or the charity of one’s choice.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth. Burial will follow at the Hathaway Cemetery. Stevenson and Sons have been entrusted with arrangements. To leave condolences for the family, visit our website at www.stevensonandsons.com.

Anne, Willie, Matt, Mike, and Nonie, my heart goes out to you. Jerry was great to grow up with and I loved him like the brother he was. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. We enjoyed many nights lying on the roof with Jerry showing Matt, Mike and myself the different planets and Albie and Willie adding to it. He loved it when his Dad would play his fiddle for us.
Be at peace my brother and save me a spot, I’ll see you up there. God Bless.

To the Wood’s family, I am so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing. I have wondered over the years about him. When I first came to work for the county he worked at the cemetery. I remember the little camper he lived in up there and he took such great pride in his work. May he now be at peace with the Lord. May Godbless you all.
