On the afternoon of October 5, 2021, Judy passed away peacefully by natural causes at home being comforted by her husband.
Judy was born in Miles City, Montana on April 7, 1954. She was the second child of Louise Slough and Calvin Fleming. At a young age, Judy and her family moved to a small farm in Pillager, Minnesota where her love for animals and the state of Minnesota began. One of her favorite pastimes was spent playing cards with her sister-in-law Pauline Johnson and telling stories about the farm in Minnesota.
Judy was moved back to her hometown of Miles City, Montana as a young teenager where she finished her education and worked as a cook for combining crews. At the age of sixteen, she met her husband Jim Ludwig and was later married in 1972. They went on to have four children Paula, James, April, and Ginger. She carried on her love for cooking for large groups, playing cards, and always feeding a stray cat or dog.
Judy Gail Ludwig was preceded in death by her father Calvin Fleming, mother Louise Slough, and sister Cheri Noftsker.
Judy is survived by her husband Jim Ludwig, sister Marla Fleming, brother Tom Fleming, daughter Paula Syring, son James Ludwig and his wife Lisa, daughter April Ludwig, daughter Ginger Everling and her husband Wayne, and six granddaughters.
