Kathron “Kattie” Adair Delmeire, 75, passed away 13 Sept 2022 at Prairie Community Hospital after a brief battle with congestive heart failure, complicated by her long battle with dementia. She was born February 28, 1947 in Miles City, the eldest child of George and Beverly Delmeire. Kattie was raised on the family farm NE of Forsyth and attended Forsyth schools, graduating in 1965. She then attended Montana State University in Bozeman, graduating with a degree in history and education, before returning to the family farm where she resided the majority of her life.
Kattie loved children and was actively involved in her nieces’ and nephew’s activities. She had a special place in her heart for 4-H and spent many years volunteering in various capacities. She was also involved in Rosebud Cattlewomen’s, the County Fair Board, Young Men’s Club, Classic Car shows, and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Kattie was an avid football fan, enjoying fantasy football and cheering on the Montana Grizzlies. Her antics were legendary and those who knew her have their own stories to tell. She said what she meant and meant what she said, often very colorfully. Kattie had another side too, she had compassion. She gave generously, and often quietly to those in need.
Kattie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by; her brother, Leo Delmeire of Forsyth; sister, Beverlee (David) Cox of Florida; nieces, Jamie Cox of Miles City, Davie (Brent) Baggett of Florida, and Tiffanee (Andy Hendrickson) Cox of Lolo; nephew, Jedediah Cox of Alaska; great nieces Kathron ‘Kit’ (Chris) Roske of Billings, Mikayla (Chase Kelvington) Lloyd of Florida, and Fiona Hendrickson of Lolo; great-nephews, Kevin (Angela) Tjaden of Missouri, Douglas (MaKayla) Coleman of Miles City, Leon Hendrickson of Lolo, and Landon Baggett of Florida; great-great niece Millie Roske; great-great nephews Matthias Roske, Doug Coleman, Harley Coleman, and Kai Kelvington. She will be missed.

Peggy Redman & Earl Mortensen says
To “Kattie’s family,
Earl joins me in sending heartfelt condolences to you in the passing of your beloved “Kattie.” I have known “Kattie” for over 55 years. We first met in college at MCC. We had some classes together. The one I remember most was a US history class taught by Judson Flower. I would study hard for every test, and spent hours doing so, “Kattie” chose not to do that. She would get a better grade every time. To make matters worse my Minor was in History!
May beautiful memories sustain you. May you find comfort in knowing others are thinking of, and praying for you at this difficult time.
John Clark says
