Wade Murdock Hu-ob (Wounded Leg), age 38, of Frazer, MT passed away December 27, 2010 in Poplar, MT.
Kurt, the son of Albert Bert and Rosella (McConnell) Murdock, was born June 27, 1972 in Wolf Point, MT. Kurt was raised in Frazer, where he attended school and played football all 4 years of high school and was a manager for 2 years. After graduating from high school he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts. Over the years, Kurt was a reserve officer for two years and worked for Albertsons, security at the Silver Wolf Casino, cook and security at local Bingos in Frazer and at the Red Bottom Celebration.He enjoyed visiting with friends and family telling stories of crazy things he had done or what someone else had done. Kurt also played the drums for starting line ups for the Bearcubs, he was known for playing Wipe Out on the drums. Kurt was always laughing or making someone else laugh. He loved Christmas just like a little kid he woke up early, wanting to open the gifts. Kurt taught himself to play the guitar and became quite good at playing along with many songs that came on the radio or on one of his many cds. He loved heavy metal and loved to play them loud. He loved his family and spending time with them. Kurt was a teaser, if Kurt wasnt teasing you, he was telling stories about you or someone else.
Kurt is survived by sisters, Debra J. Murdock of Frazer, Barbara (Franklyn) Dumont of Wolf Point; brother, Douglas Dougal Murdock of Frazer; nephews, Jason (Lisa) Murdock of Wolf Point, Aaron J. Murdock of Frazer, Ivan Archdale of Wolf Point; nieces, CPO Vangie Beston of Waynesboro, PA and Shaedell Adams of Frazer; grandkids, Nathan, Alyssa, Alexis Murdock of Wolf Point, Caitlyn Beston of Wanesboro; adopted brothers, Huber (Deb) Wright of Oswego, MT, David Adams of Brockton, MT, Robert (Charlene) Archdale, Richard (Pheobe) Blount, and Miles Jackson all of Wolf Point and Jeff (Lynette) Cappo of Regina, Sask, Canada; sister in law, Janice Murdock of Fort Peck, MT; aunts, Audrey (Tony) Hall of Billings, Florence Buck of Frazer, Ruth Todd of Frazer, and Daisy Sherman of Havre; uncles, C.H. Damon of Madras, OR, Joe (Kim) McConnell of Wolf Point, and Richard (Teddi) McConnell of Billings, MT; special friend, Bertha Smith; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, James McConnell, Sr., Fanny McConnell, George Cheyenne Murdock and Daisy Boxer; parents, Albert L. Bert Murdock, Sr. and Rosella Murdock; and a brother, Albert G. Murdock, Jr.
A wake will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 29 at the Frazer Community Hall. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, December 30 also at the Frazer Community Hall. Interment will follow at the Oswego Catholic Cemetery in Oswego.
