Laramie was born on September 18, 1944 in Miles City, Montana, the son of Pansy (May) and Lyle McMillan. While growing up, he spent time at the Taylor Ranch at Rock Springs and Kinsey. He left on a cold December day for Butte, attending school at Fort Belvoir, Virginia before being shipped to Germany. After his time was up in the Army, he returned to Miles City where he joined his wife and went to work for the Taylor Ranch at Rock Springs. He loved a good hard day of work and could fix anything. They had two sons, Rowdi Le and Ryan Lyle of course the apple of his eyes were his two granddaughters, Tori Kessler and Kori McMillan and his two great grandchildren Tanner and Klaire.
Laramie is survived by his wife Barb; sons Rowdi and Ryan; granddaughters Kori and Tori; great grandchildren Tanner and Klaire, sisters Ginger (Terry) Omland and Darla (Mike) Woods, and several nieces and nephews. So sorry for your loss. Laramie was such a nice person. I have know him since he was in high school he used to hang around with my cousin Jim Kildare at my grandma house. They used to play 45 records and the one I remember them playing the most was Real Wild Child. Later in our lives we worked together at he VA Hospital and we sure enjoyed talking about the good old days. Such a wonderful person.

I always looked at Uncle Laramie as a wise, gentle cowboy. His life experiences he’d share. The twinkle in his eyes when he’d see his kids, nieces and nephews. His chuckle and big smile. That dang ram that knocked me over on our walk (he didn’t live much longer 😂 )! Every time we’d visit—he’s stand at the garage and wave us goodbye as we drove out of sight. Protective. Unconditionally loving. I know he is in Heaven with the best of them! RIP Uncle Laramie! We’ll take care of Aunt Barb now 💜

Barb, Rowdi, Ryan, Mom and Terry, Darla and Mike, and Family:
We are all mourning the loss of Uncle Laramie with you and we are so sorry for your loss. We remember Uncle Laramie “lighting up” a room with his wonderful “hearty” voice and his “twinkling” eyes and funny stories and jokes! “Sis, did I ever tell you the story about the time…..”, he would always say to both of his sisters, with his hearty voice and big grin. Some of our best memories were at our family’s big Holiday gatherings at Grandpa and Grandma May’s house where Uncle Laramie would add humor or a story to any conversation! We also remember so many fun dances and times with him at the Rock Springs Hall and other fun family events! We will miss your twinkling eyes, giant smile, and gentle heart and soul. Keep them all laughing and dancing in Heaven, Uncle Laramie! May you rest in Peace! We love and miss you! DeDe Stieber and Family, Dena Lang and Family, Shanna Murnion and Family
