Linda Hauso Weisgerber, age 73 of Miles City, passed away on Thursday February 25, 2021 with her daughter by her side at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City, MT.
Linda was born July 3, 1947 in Jordan, MT to Sidney and Ruth (Ofstedal) Hauso. Linda grew up on the family ranch in Brusett, MT with her two sisters and brother. Being the eldest of four, Linda helped with outdoor chores and household duties. Many memories were made riding horses, sheering sheep, and with the family pig “Missy Piggy” who loved to be scratched. Linda attended her first six weeks of kindergarten in the old country school across the creek until a new, one room schoolhouse was built. She then attended the remainder of grade school at Snow Creek, often staying with neighbors due to weather. In her childhood, Linda was involved in 4-H Merry Maids club in Jordan and was chosen to attend a dress review in Bozeman with a suit she had made. Linda attended Garfield County High School in Jordan, MT where she stayed at the dormitory until bus services became available to her in sophomore year. She attended Hollywood Beauty College in Billings, MT, later returning home to Jordan to complete her internship for manager operator license. Linda worked at several different beauty shops in Jordan, Miles City and Billings for 12 years.
Linda met and later married Larry Weisgerber on June 22, 1974 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miles City, MT. They had two children, daughter Tricia and son Jonathan, where Linda became a daycare provider and stay-at-home mother. Linda and Larry divorced after 14 years of marriage.
Linda later attended Miles Community College, studying Pre-Nursing, unfortunately not graduating, but making many friendships. She then went on to work for Osco Drug delivering medication from the pharmacy to customers for 16 years, she loved keeping up with her clients.
Linda was a kind and gentle soul with so much love to give. She would do anything to help a person out in need. She became like a second mother to her children’s friends. Her biggest joy was raising her children and loving her only grandson. Linda, an extremely proud mother, told anyone who would listen of all her children’s and grandson’s achievements, including her dream come true, when her children made it possible for her to take a trip to Hawaii. Don’t forget her ‘grand-kitties’ and ‘grand-puppies’, who could always put a smile on her face. She will be remembered by her smile and hugs.
Linda’s hobbies included gardening, baking, sewing, crochet, counted cross stitch, any craft in general, bowling and spending as much time with family as possible. Linda was part of several bowling leagues throughout the years, a Girl Scout leader and volunteered for the Council of Aging. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jordan, MT and Little Flower Catholic Church in Billings, MT.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Sidney & Ruth Hauso, brother Jim Hauso, grandparents Andrew & Ruth Ofstedal and John & Louise Hauso, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Linda is survived by daughter Tricia Weisgerber of Miles City, MT; son Jonathan (Tessa) Weisgerber and grandson Ethan of Ontario, OR; sisters Judy Wilbur of Nisland, SD and Susan (Tom) Ochs of Laurel, MT; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Linda was a classmate of Floyd at Snow Creek country school and a classmate of mine at GCHS where we graduated in 1965. We had occasion to reconnect with her while we all lived in Billings through a mutual friend, Aletha McDonald. Later, whenever we ran into each other in Miles City we always had a good visit and enjoyed catching up on each other’s families. Linda was a gentle soul and loved her family dearly. Our condolences for your loss and we extend our highest regards to you for putting her needs in the last couple of years the priority in your life. May Linda rest in peace and may you find comfort in knowing that she is no longer in distress.

I just ran across this online and loved listening to the full video and seeing all the pictures. Of course Linda and Judy Hauso were a huge part of my life during growing up years. They were always interested in everything’s in 4-H and High School. Later on when I would run into them when back to Jordan we would visit and catch up. Linda was such a delightful sweet person and such a beauty as well. It was lovely to read about her family and her life. Thank you for this excellent video presentation to help me catch up a bit on her. It sounds like her last year’s were tough but she had a wonderful family that got it through it. I know when my mom lived in Miles City for a while she enjoyed visiting with Ruth.
