Hotohkóhma’aese attended school at Busby, MT, and received his GED in Billings, MT. He attended Billings Vocational Technical College and received his associate’s degree in auto mechanics.
Hotohkóhma’aese enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing basketball, and watching the Super Bowl Champions Denver Broncos. He also enjoyed working on cars and doing handy work. He loved being around his family and friends, especially his grandkids and all his nieces and nephews. Lucian had a great sense of humor, always teasing and laughing with everyone. He was always in good spirits when you were around him and always made you feel welcomed. His way of life was very down to earth and he always remained very humble. Lucian had a very big heart, never took anything for granted and lived his life in a way he liked. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends and we will continue to cherish the moments shared with him. The heavens have gained yet another beautiful soul.
Hotohkóhma’aese leaves behind his mom, Maggie. His children and grandchildren; daughter Tyahease (Wilbur) and her daughters Ryleigh Jayde and Kalby Quinn; daughter, Alijandra and her son Alexander; Lynsi and her children, Myaiah, Timeric, Matthias, Marky and Israel. Sons Lucian Jr, Jalen Sr (Justina) and their children Tre’Ann and Jalen Jr, and Torilee and his son Tylen. Sisters: Parmalee (Darryl), Williamette, Charlene (Bucky), Scharlmaine, and Alice. Brothers: Irvin Jr, Johnson (Vanessa), Bobby, Charleston, JR, Vernon, Marty and Richard. Aunties: Bertha (Morton) Other Bull, Rose Backer, Jeannie Strange Owl, Laretha (Ed) Grinsell, Maretha Charette, Pam (Joe) Ash, Cecelia Big Back, Bertha Limberhand and Phyllis Donovan. Uncles: Charles (Pat) Yellow Fox Jr, and Eugene (Clarice) Big Back. Special nephews Cameron Backer, Jesse James and all of his Po’no, Busby, Lame Deer, Birney, Ashland, and Muddy relations.
Hotohkóhma’aese was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles Sr and Sarah (Weasel Bear) Yellow Fox, paternal grandparents William and Josie (Bearquiver) Rising Sun, dad Irvin Rising Sun Sr, brothers Frank and Charlie Boy Rising Sun, Charlo Yellow Fox Sr, sisters Caroldine Rising Sun and Rachelle Backer.
