We are sad to announce the passing of Lupita Moriah Alegria. A mother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, sister, friend. Overall an amazing soul. Lupe was called at the young age of 31 on Christmas Eve in Tucson, AZ. She was raised a majority of her life on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation by the late Rock and Carol Redcherries. She would spend a lot of her childhood traveling with her grandma Carol. When she wasn’t traveling, she was home watching boxing with Grandpa Rock.
As Lupe grew, she developed an outgoing personality with a one of a kind laugh, and a smile that would light up the room. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. Lupe was the type of person who never held a grudge. She was positive and encouraging no matter the situation.
Lupe is preceded in death by her mother, Dawn LaFountain; grandparents, Rock and Carol Redcherries, and Frank Rowland.
She is survived by her six beautiful children, family in Lame Deer, Montana, Alaska, Arizona, Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Washington.
We know we can’t have you, but we find comfort knowing you’re with your mother, grandma and grandpa.
While Lupe was taken to soon from our world, her imprint of who she was will never leave. Lupita, until we meet again in Heaven, we will miss you.

I remember Lupy when she was in Head Start. She noticed I had a headache and put her hand over my forehead and said I will pray for you teacher. And she did. I have never forgot this. Such a beautiful girl. Let her rest in peace. Sorry to hear about her children, being left so early in their life. Take care DeeDee, Tony and Cleone.

To all the family, my deepest condolences. It is a painful thing recognize a young member of a family who has been part of our church over the years and whose mother and aunt were students of mine many years ago. I pray for you to be comforted by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by God’s word.

Thank you Lupita my neighbor. We had a short time together and l remember you were so excited to celebrate your children’s birthdays. I remember you bought 2 cakes and balloons. You were preparing for them to come home. For the little ones l wish they knew how much mommy loved and talked about them and how she often cried for them. They were her rock and foundation and now she is their rock and foundation. Her dad often spoke of her presence after her passing. She often told stories of how her grandma taught her how to bead and she was excited to bead her Nike tennis shoes. Lupita had a voice of cheer and the most beautiful skin. She was a true princess that loved her culture and her family. Dec 24 2021 @ 8:30 pm l said my last goodbye but she will always reside in my heart.

Lupita I’m so so so sorry. 😥 I had no idea. You were such an amazing person. We hung out cause we shared the same last name. We would have so much fun just chilling. I remember you were always smiling. NO MATTER WHAT YOU WERE GOING THRU. you always had a smile. I’m gonna miss you. We hung out last in 2020 just after Christmas. I will never forget the times we shared. May you rest in peace. And I will continue to remember you. I used to tell you this every time we spoke at night time just before bed over the phone. Sleep with the angels ma and may they watch over you while you sleep. Goodnight princess.
