Early in the morning of July 25, 2020, our sweet, loving “Marge” Margaret Elizabeth Radke left this world at the Holy Rosary Hospital, to go on her journey to be with our heavenly father.
Margaret was born in Ismay, MT to Albert and Bertha Christman. She spent some of her years as a custodian/housekeeper at Holy Rosary Hospital and Highland Park School. She also loved helping her daughter, Susan, clean at One Health.
Margaret always made sure that everyone was okay and loved her family very much. She enjoyed many vacations with her family, including her first airplane ride to Las Vegas with her son Buddy and daughter-in-law Dona. Margaret was always the life of the party anywhere she went. One of the greatest times was when she spent a weekend in Deadwood with her children and grandchildren. She loved to learn new games, like “Domino’s”, she would have everyone laughing until 2 am.
Margaret loved to be with her family and enjoyed every moment with each one of them. She also loved her dog, Shasta, and her cat, Gigi.
She was in remission with lung cancer for 8 years before being diagnosed again and finding 2 other forms of cancer. Margaret fought her battle with her family by her side.
Margaret is survived by her sister Alice Petersohn, brother Donny Christman, daughters June (Mike) Esser, Debbie (Tim) Davis, Susanna (Scott) Delashmutt, son Buddy (Dona) Hoffman, grandchildren, Blythe Esser, Ethan (Vanessa) Esser, Dalton Esser, Zachery and Drew Davis, Tyson (Ashlee) Jones, and Levi Jones, great grandchildren, Maki, Kamden, Mylee, Xavier, Castiel, and Teigan.
Margaret is proceeded in death by her husband Bill Radke, parents Albert and Bertha Christman, brother Ervin Christman, and granddaughter Nicole Esser.
Prayer for the Dying
“Give Strength Prayer”
Gracious God, give strength to my mother. She is brave and beautiful and strong, and she is desperately in need of you. As her body weakens, God, let her lean on your strength for the time she has left. Let her leave this world feeling strong in You and ready for what comes next. God, only you can be her strength now. There is no more earthly healing that can be done. Let her be Yours. Amen.
