In loving memory of Mary Ellen (Biery) Watson
Mary Ellen Watson, age 79, passed away on January 19, 2017 in her home in Forsyth, Montana.
Mary Ellen Biery was born on October 4, 1937 in Lytton, Iowa to parents Charles Biery and Gladys (Bennett) Biery. She came to live in Montana and attended country schools in Ingomar, Myers, and Rosebud. She married Charles D. Watson on April 8, 1953 in Miles City, Montana before a Justice of the Peace. She lived and worked while married and raising her children in Myers, Anaconda, Forsyth, and Colstrip, returning to Forsyth in 1995.
Mary Ellen loved providing food for the table, raising flowers in her garden, canning, camping, playing cards, and traveling when she could. She was most proud of the legacy of being the start of four more generations.
She is survived by her children: Daniel (Rita) Watson of Forsyth, MT, David (Elizabeth) Watson of Richland, WA, Cynthia (Bruce) Miller of Colstrip, MT, and Marilynn Serrato of Miles City, MT. Her surviving siblings are: Daniel Biery of Rosebud, MT, Judy Juell of Great Falls, MT, and Ronald Biery of Belgrade, MT. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Charles; parents; stepfather Hugh Moyer; brothers: Ward, John, Richard, Henry, Chris, Kenneth; and sister Kay Berdahl. She is proud of her eleven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service is being planned for Saturday, April 15 at 11:00 AM at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Forsyth, MT.
