On the evening of Sunday November 24, 2019 Mary “Petie” Katherine Gaskins passed away peacefully of natural causes at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, MT.  She was comforted by her daughter Karen, and good friend Tana Patten.  Petie was 83 years old.

Petie was born April 8, 1936 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Harrison County.  She was the first child of Norval and Katherine Tutwiler.  Petie graduated from Washington-Irving High School in Clarksburg, 1954.  Petie married Pvt. Edward A. Gaskins (Army) September 3, 1955.  Their journey began and she was the best wife who followed him through the Army and College.  In July 1961, Petie’s daughter, Karen was born.

Petie was a beloved wife, mother, and friend.

She was proceeded in death by her parents,  Norval and Katherine Tutwiler,  her husband Edward A. Gaskins, and her grandson Casey Stroehman.

Petie is survived  by her sister Phyllis Stalnaker , a niece Sherri Adamek.  Her loving, daughter Karen and her husband Tom.  A granddaughter Jennifer K. Galloway.   Great-grandsons Maddox and Liam Galloway.

A memorial and graveside service will be held in Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
