Nathel Fightingbear age 62 passed away of natural causes February 20, 2015 in Minot North Dakota. She was born to Hubert Fightingbear and Margaret Standing Elk September 9, 1962 in Crow Agency, MT. Mom was a very humble woman who spoke fluent Cheyenne; she grew up in her hometown of Birney and still resided in the family home. She attended the Mormon placement program where she was able to grow strong ties with her foster family whom she stayed in contact with over the years. She was married to her childhood sweetheart for 26 years and later divorced but maintained a good relationship with the Littlebird family. Mom was a hard worker as she loved her children dearly and always did her best to provide for them. One of the jobs she is remembered for is as a Nutritionist. She worked at the W.I.C. Northern Cheyenne Program at IHS in Lame Deer. Mom was very good cook and used her many skills to become a homemaker. Mom did her best raising her children with all the love in her heart. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed collecting all their artwork. She enjoyed taking drives in her beautiful homeland on the Northern Cheyenne reservation and just loved life in general. Another one of her works was in helping all her loved ones and she showed this by caretaking of her brothers. She was always willing to offer her assistance to others and opened her home to family in need. With heavy hearts and fond memories we say farewell to our beloved mom.
She is survived by Harry III (Theresa), Harry 4th, Giovanni, Antonio, Rayell, Scott, Barbara (Newlyn) Edward, Drey, Mitchell, Ashley, Kateri, Mary Ann, Kara, Amanda, Rosie, Stephanie (Myron) Seirra, Jeremy, Randy Sr., (Demetria), Aaliyah, Randy Jr. Orville, Lucas, Spencer, Great Grandchildren Alaysia, Ryen, Rylin, Vance, Wade Brothers: Roy, Ronnie, Billy (Mary) Claude.
